For a number of years my husband and I have been so very blessed by dear friends to experience the North Caroline mountains while staying at their summer home. I love the view we have of this tall pine as we relax, read, paint and enjoy meals on the screened-in porch. Having spent a good bit of my growing up years in the "piney woods" area of Louisiana, I have a special love for pine trees; the texture of the bark, the ethereal, wispy needles, the outstretched branches beckoning the wind. The sound of the wind blowing through a pine forest - there is none like it; so relaxing, so peaceful. I am ever grateful to our friends for sharing this beautiful setting in God creation. It speaks loudly of his glory and majesty!
